To avoid any misunderstandings, please read these Terms & Conditions carefully. They are intended to explain clearly how Hermes Drive operates, what you can expect from us, and what we expect from our pupils, in a fair, transparent, and professional manner.

Hermes Drive is an independent driving school operating in the Reading area, United Kingdom. All driving lessons are provided directly by Hermes Drive and are not part of any franchise, agency, platform, or third-party organisation. By booking driving lessons with Hermes Drive, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.

All driving lessons are conducted in a dual-controlled, clean, and roadworthy automatic vehicle. Lessons are provided subject to instructor availability and are delivered during normal operating hours, as displayed on Hermes Drive’s Google Business profile. Hermes Drive operates a strict no-smoking policy, and pupils are expected to behave in a safe, respectful, and lawful manner at all times during lessons and tests.

Pupils must hold a valid UK provisional driving licence and must be legally entitled to drive in the United Kingdom. It is the pupil’s responsibility to ensure that their licence remains valid and that they comply with all legal requirements relating to driving. Pupils must also ensure they are fit to drive and not under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any medication that may impair driving ability. If the instructor believes that a pupil is unfit to drive or that safety may be compromised, the lesson may be terminated.

Driving instruction, including mock tests and test preparation, is provided to support pupils in developing safe and confident driving skills and to prepare them for the UK driving test. The use of the instructor’s vehicle for a driving test is subject to the instructor being satisfied that the pupil is safe, competent, and ready for test conditions. The instructor reserves the right to withdraw the vehicle for a driving test if they believe that safety standards are not met or that the pupil is not adequately prepared.

Where advertised, the driving test day may be included at no additional cost, provided specific conditions are met. These conditions include the pupil having completed a minimum number of lessons with Hermes Drive, the driving test taking place within the Reading area, and the test being scheduled within normal operating hours. Any additional charges that may apply outside of these conditions will always be clearly communicated to the pupil in advance of the test date.

Hermes Drive aims to provide professional, reliable, and well-structured driving tuition; however, lesson availability, test dates, and scheduling are subject to factors outside the instructor’s control, including DVSA availability, traffic conditions, weather, and unforeseen circumstances. Hermes Drive cannot guarantee specific test dates or outcomes.

Pupils are expected to follow the instructor’s guidance at all times during lessons and tests. Failure to follow instructions, unsafe behaviour, or repeated disregard for road safety may result in lessons being discontinued. Hermes Drive reserves the right to refuse or discontinue tuition where continued instruction is deemed unsafe or inappropriate.

The driving instructor is not responsible for any fines, penalties, endorsements, or offences committed while the pupil is driving. Legal responsibility remains with the pupil, except where liability is explicitly defined under UK law, including the Highway Code and relevant traffic legislation. Beyond statutory legal obligations, Hermes Drive and the instructor accept no additional responsibility or liability for loss, damage, or inconvenience.Hermes Drive may update or amend these Terms & Conditions from time to time.
